Longacre School is a junior school in grounds set within the Green Belt in Shamley Green. Their guiding motto is 'a happy heart goes a long way' and this project to improve the safety and visibility of pedestrian routes into the school was designed to meet the practical need with fun and colour.
 
Weyside Architects’ Development Masterplan for the School had identified the need to improve the approach to the school and setting of the original school building as a first priority with the focus on pedestrianisation and deliveries. 
 
The landscape works were designed to clearly demarcate safe routes and included coloured tarmac surfaces, coloured pencil bollards and picket fences.
