We listen to your needs, help write a brief, sketch out design solutions and then work up a planning application. The planning process is getting more demanding but we have extensive experience of working on challenging sites, on Listed Buildings, in Conservation Areas and in Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We know that clients value a long term solution and will help you consider your future needs.
Once you have received planning permission we can help you prepare all the information needed for pricing and building your project. This includes everything from construction details through to the choice of door handles, all drawn and scheduled for tendering and submission to Building Control. We will organise the range of consultants that can be required and coordinate everyone’s contributions. We can manage the tender process for you and help you to choose your builder.
Throughout the building period we can administer the building contract, inspect the work on a regular basis, answer any questions and manage any changes that might be required. Having an architect involved at this stage helps you remain in control of the process and gives you reassurance that you are only paying for completed work. Maintaining good relationships with contractors, consultants and clients is as important as the quality of the design in delivering a successful building and fulfilling the original brief.
